Nashville, Tenn. (May 20, 2014) – Following up their debut EP with their latest album, “Different Drum”, The Phantoms continue to experience a wave of success and underground fan following.  In an age when music discovery is an evolving concept, the band has cracked the formula for non-traditional promotional vehicles and capitalized on it.  “Touring is a great way to connect with fans and get your music out there, but we have found success through commercial placements.  Our song “Gonna Celebrate,” off the new album, was recently selected for use in a T-Mobile commercial and we’re stoked about it”, says lead singer Andrew Simple.  Their debut album garnered multiple song placements, including placements in Lowes Home Improvement spots and in two worldwide Microsoft Windows commercials which generated over 10 million hits on Youtube.  “You just can’t beat that level of promotion for your music,” says Simple.    

With hard hitting guitar riffs, speaker-blowing vocals, and an attitude that is equal parts blithe and earnest, this album radiates all things cool and great about rock & roll.  Its a format that has not historically been the mainstay of the Nashville music scene, but is increasingly rising to the top, and as the tides are shifting a wellspring of indie rock / folk and even pop artists are starting to emerge from music city.    

With the support of Independent Music publisher peermusic’s digital label, Digital Pressure, the latest album from The Phantoms album is staying true to its indie roots.  Discussions are currently underway with record labels overseas.

 Nashville, TN – Lauren Ashley announces highly anticipated new single, “Stirred, Not Shaken” with release set for August 13^th. The single will be available exclusively on iTunes, with plans to release an EP this fall.

Ashley wrote the track with Adriene Smith and Anthony Focx; with Focx as producer, mixing, and mastering engineer. With each writer having different backgrounds of country, country-rock, and an edgier rock style, “Stirred, Not Shaken” embraces a new spin on traditional country music, and will be released to iTunes August 13^th.

Born in Griffin, Georgia, 21-year-old Lauren Ashley’s music is well rooted with rock and country influences. Growing up listening to a mix of rock and country music, Lauren Ashley would soon develop her own unique style as an artist and performer: country with a touch of rock n’ roll.

Nashville, TN— In Support of the Whole Planet Foundation, an organization who’s mission is poverty alleviation through microcredit in communities worldwide, the industry invite-only showcase yielded a huge turnout among on industry professionals.

The showcase was held Tuesday, April 23rd at 8:00 PM at The Rutledge.

Cook'n Up Music's Emily Reid kicked off the showcase with a crowd pleasing, outstanding performance. She has spent the last year promoting her album REID, touring in the US and Canada and making her way up the American Music Association’s Charts breaking through the Top 200 in January 2013.

The CO was also on the list of performers, with song placements in the ABC TV series, “Jane By Design” and being featured on ABC Family’s Artist on the Rise. They received outstanding crowd reviews with their rocking performance.

The headliner of the showcase, Striking Matches was a crowd favorite. They have had their songs "When the Right One Comes Along" and "Hangin On A Lie" in the hit TV series Nashville and they are becoming regulars on the Opry stage.
